Parking: 4 Cars at the top of the driveway + Street parking for 3 cars at the bottom of our driveway is optimal. You can park more cars on the driveway if needed. Please do not park anywhere else on the street, the town does not allow it. Please also don't park on the grass, it ruins it

Parking Notes:

The property comfortably fits 7 cars with room to drive in and out: 3 in the driveway and 3 on the dirt area at the bottom of the driveway.

If needed, you can park up to 5 additional cars on the driveway (12 total), but this will block other vehicles from getting in and out

Do not park on the street — township rules prohibit it, and neighbors may call me or local authorities.

Do not park on the grass — it damages the lawn, and guests may be charged for repairs.

- **Rich Finn**: "We looked forward to this stay for our family's annual trip, but the property wasn't as described. On arrival: overflowing garbage cans, cobwebs, missing top sheets, dead bugs and dirty cushions on the screened porch, a neglected game room entryway, an uncleaned pool, torn screens, and mousetraps in the kitchen.
It was bad enough that we walked away from a four-night stay we'd paid for after less than 24 hours and booked a new place ourselves. To be transparent: we didn't ask the host to fix these first. Our group gathers once a year, with family flying in internationally, and we'd already lost time. Mousetraps in the kitchen weren't something a cleaning would fix anyway.
We don't have photos, but leaving gave the host a chance to inspect the unit - that didn't happen. 
We've stayed in this area for this trip in past years at similar prices, and this fell well short. Can't recommend." (1/5)

There was plenty of room for everyone and the bedrooms were well appointed and so comfortable. The location was so close to everything we needed (beach, great restaurants) although there is some freeway noise when you’re outside. Our only issue was that the house had a couple of cleanliness issues - mainly the stairs and the screened in porch were not cleaned well and the furniture on the patio was stained and moldy. All pots and pans were also either destroyed or very greasy which made it difficult to cook. The owners were incredibly responsive when we shared this feedback (and even sent us bagels as an apology!) but unfortunately the cleaners couldn’t come for a day and a half and even then the stairs and patio furniture weren’t addressed. I would still stay again given how much fun the kids had and how responsive the hosts were." (4/5)

The pool, playground & hot tub were huge hits with our family.  My mother really enjoyed the screened porch.  The kitchen is quite spacious.  It had some basics, however I was glad I brought my own items from home to accomplish cooking for 10.  There were issues during our stay that were addressed quickly for the most part. The inside is great for hanging out too, with an XL table for dinner and movie area. There were 2 pack and plays and 2 high chairs which was a huge help.  The hosts were responsive with any questions I had. 

The location is a quiet area which was peaceful, but we were also just 5 minutes from new buffalo and two minutes from the shops in Union pier. Would love to stay again!" (5/5)

This was by far the worst vacation rental experience our family has ever had. We rented this home for our annual extended-family trip and to celebrate my mother-in-law’s 60th birthday, but from the moment we arrived, we were dealing with problems instead of enjoying our vacation.

The home was clearly not cleaned before our arrival. There were dirty bathrooms, floors, kitchen/appliances, a musty odor in the home, trash and beer cans left behind, stained couches and pillows, and visible MOUSE TRAPS throughout the home. We were so uncomfortable that we had to purchase cleaning supplies and spent the first night cleaning the bathrooms ourselves. We even questioned whether the linens had been properly cleaned. The host sent a cleaner the following day, but the cleaning was STILL not completed. After being in the home late afternoon, disappearing for hours, showing back up after 730pm and abruptly leaving after 9pm without any notice, Beds were left stripped, linens were left on the floor, and ultimately our family had to finish cleaning and remake all beds ourselves since they stripped everything down.

The hot tub was also dirty and unusable when we arrived. When the technician came out the following day, we were told it had not been cleaned. The tub contained green, dirty water that had to be drained and the tub scrubbed, and water was refilled by the tech. The heated pool, which was one of the main reasons we selected this property for the kids, did not work during our stay until  a technician finally came on our last day to work on the pool in the afternoon, by the time they got it working again he confirmed the temperature would only rise a couple of degrees every few hours. 

There were also security concerns with bedroom, and summer room doors that did not lock properly. On Saturday night, the gas/CO alarms went off and required the fire department and energy company to respond and inspect the property. Then even the lock codes did not work properly at checkout.

We communicated these issues to the hosts throughout the entire stay and gave them multiple opportunities to make things right. What made an already terrible experience even more disappointing was the hosts’ response afterward. When we attempted to resolve the situation, we were told that we had “completed the stay.” That response completely missed the point. Completing the stay was not evidence that the property was acceptable—it was a consequence of traveling several hours with a large family and having no practical alternative to simply leave. Despite being notified of these problems throughout the stay, their proposed resolution did not reasonably reflect the number and severity of the issues we experienced.

A vacation rental should be clean, safe, functional, and ready for guests when they arrive. This property failed on those basic expectations. We spent a significant portion of what was supposed to be a family vacation dealing with cleaning, maintenance issues, and communication with the hosts instead of enjoying time together. 

We would not stay here again and cannot recommend this property." (1/5)
- **Alan May**: "A very large and spacious home.  The main floor is open and welcoming.  You can see from one end to the other. Kitchen all the way to the billiard room and back.  That’s very nice.   High ceilings and huge windows.   Lots of light. 

Plenty of bedrooms, very comfortable beds, beautiful firepit, with lots of seating.  Pool is lovely.  Sauna, hot tub and exercise equipment… what more could you want!?

I have to give the owner credit for being understanding and cooperative with our move. I have no doubt the issues are resolved by now. We just happened to have rotten timing.
